In addition to successfully conducting Samskritam classes and camps as well as offering a variety of publications, SamskritaBharati offers 'patrAlaya dvArA samskRtam' -- learning of Samskritam through Correspondence (also known as Distance Learning Program). A unique opportunity to learn Samskritam at your own pace and place.

• SIMPLE interesting lessons accompanied by audio CD (in MP3 format). Lessons include subhashitas, stories, puzzles, glimpses of Samskrit literature along with an innovative method of language learning.
• No prior knowledge of Samskrit assumed. Teaching starts from BASICS.
• At the end of the course, you will be able to study Samskrit scriptures like Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana all by yourself!
• Every lesson contains a question paper and every grade has an examination. A panel of teachers will correct your answer papers and mail it back to you. Certificate awarded to every successful participant.
• NEW Starting from June 15, 2006, you can leave voice mail by calling 978-268-8406 with your questions or doubts and one of our volunteers will call you back or send an email with appropriate answers.
• The package is a TWO-IN-ONE! Along with study of Samskrit, you will enrich your knowledge about the great heritage of Bharath (.

Overview

All four parts of the Correspondence Program are offered -- first grade (pravesha), second grade (parichaya), third grade (shiksha) and fourth grade (kovida). Registrations are open throughout the year. Mailing of lessons will commence four weeks after we recieve your registration form and fees. We suggest that one should start the course from Pravesh (grade level 1). However, some who have learned samskritam before and would like to start from a higher grade (like Parichaya, grade level 2), may want to review the final exams of Pravesha OR Parichaya and then take an appropriate decision as to at which grade level to start the distance learning program. Please be advised that a passing grade of 80% as well as an evaluation fee of $20 will be required if one wants to skip a particular grade level.
